In this story form the Main vs. Impact throughline is in Psychology or Manipulation but this report uses the MC throughline and IC throughline to describe their argument or different approach with each other. In the Main vs. Impact report below the through line I came up with I wanted Gene(impact character) to not want to recall because of Evidence that he is not who he says. I wanted Rachel(main character) to find her true past and change her situation because of her prediction based on her recent past. Is this report revealing my wrong thinking about how Dramatica works or do I need to learn to twist the semantics to my vision of the storyform? ---Sam

Rachel evaluates The Past in terms of Prediction and Interdiction. In contrast, Gene measures his concern with Memories by how it relates to Evidence and Suspicion.

If they were to argue, Rachel might say, "We must not focus on what has already happened because of our Prediction." To which Gene might respond, "No, we must recall because of Evidence." Definitely apples and oranges. But that is what makes any argument real. Arguments occur not so much because people disagree, but because they simply aren't really talking about the same things.

The reports are only to be used in the general sense - not to be taken word for word. Your suggestion for "tweaking" the report to fit your story is valid and won't break the storyform. In addition, every appreciation can be seen in a positive or negative light, and the same line of thinking applies here. "Wanting to recall because of Evidence" and "Not wanting to recall because of Evidence", in the Dramatica sense, are one and the same. They're both exploring Issues of Evidence.
